Location is not updating

Open Settings → Permissions in the app. It checks each thing that can silently stop background updates and tells you which one is the problem — location services turned off, "While Using" instead of "Always", Precise Location disabled, Background App Refresh off, or Low Power Mode.

Some delay is normal and expected. iOS decides when to wake an app for a location update, so Kinmap targets a freshness range rather than a fixed interval. A location a few minutes old is normal; the app labels anything stale so you are never shown an old position as if it were current.

Someone in my family can still see me after I left

They should not be able to. Removal and leaving take effect immediately on our servers. If you believe otherwise, email us with your request ID and we will treat it as an urgent issue.

Deleting your data

You can delete your location history or your entire account from inside the app — see account deletion. You do not need to contact us to do it.
